WHO IS MICAH
Who is Micah Smith? Well first, my father named me Micah after the prophet in the Bible. Micah means like unto God. Now before you read any further, I am not claiming to be like God for I am not. I am not even close. But I strive to be like Him each and every day as we all should. I am not a finished product. God is the Potter and I am just the clay. He is the one who is making and molding me. We all have committed sins and made mistakes. And no sin is greater than another. When people try to hold your mistakes over you remember that God loves you and I enough that even though we have yet sinned and come short of His glory, when we ask for forgiveness He forgives us and forgets it. His grace and mercy is bestowed upon us. What is God’s grace and mercy? Grace is God’s constant and continual favor towards us. Mercy is God’s extension and expression of His love for us. It is an act of compassion and favor.

Now who is Micah Smith? I am a child of the most high God. I am a healthcare professional but that is what I do, it is not who I am. My value is in Him. I have a profound passion for a few different things. One thing I find pure joy in is when a celebrity such as an athlete, an artist, or anyone with a platform attributes all of their success to their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I automatically become a fan of theirs. An athlete could light up my team in a game and the post game interview comes around they say they just want to give credit to Jesus Christ. A celebrity could accept an award and on stage they say they first would like to give credit to Jesus Christ. Things such as that never get old. For if anyone should boasts, they should boast in the Lord.

Something else that never gets old is asking me how I am doing today? 9/10 times if you ask me how I’m doing, I’m going to respond with I am doing well or swell, and that I can’t complain. That is because no matter what you or I may be going through, there is ALWAYS something to be thankful for.
You can miss a great season in your life wishing for more or complaining for what you don't have. The real joys in life are the simple things many of us take for granted. When you understand that you are in control of your joy, nothing can take it from you.

I have grown to learn from experiences this thing we call life, is all about perspective. I use to be the type that would look at the glass as half empty. I now look at the glass as half full. I did not always approach life that way. I am always grateful but I am never complacent. There have been many life experiences that have opened my eyes and molded me into that current mindset. This is what many would call wisdom. We live and we learn.
